This week we are looking at how to automate outreach the VA way!

If you are a small business owner, you have probably experienced the frustration that comes with keeping up with a pitch schedule, a launch calendar and all the other time sensitive tasks that come with moving your business forward and making sales. After all, what's the point of having a business if you don't get new customers?

It’s time to remove the things that keep you from putting your work into the world- self-doubt and perfectionism.

Let's be honest, you have spent hours crafting the perfect product but when it comes time to launching your efforts into the world, it feels easier to just add it to your website and not tell anyone. After all, won't fate interceded if you're meant to sell that product, land that client, or close that deal? But it's time to accept this hard truth, if you don't champion your work, nobody will. Except your new VA, that is!

The first things to do is let your VA loose on all the things that normally hold you back. Let's take a look at the most effective way to automate your outreach and kick your entrepreneurship into high gear!

Here's the most common outreach methods you can hand off to your VA, and make real progress in your biz!

  1. Have your VA pitch your work to your dream clients each week. Brain dump your dream clients to your VA. Work together on a basic pitch template. Set a goal of reaching out to 5 companies a week. Let your VA loose! You will be shocked at how fast a VA can reach out on your behalf because they don't hold the same negative emotions you might have tied to rejection. Let your VA do the leg work and you can jump in as soon as you get the YES you know will inevitably head your way.

  2. Automate your weekly retention outreach. A great business will be able to keep customers coming back again and again. That's where automations can come into play. Some email systems come with built in automated emails that your VA can set up for you to email customers after purchase to ask for feedback, a review, or garner additional sales.

  3. Set your VA loose on your marketing newsletters! It may only take an hour or two for your VA to help you brainstorm newsletter content for the next quarter or longer. Set up a meeting with your VA and collaborate on content. Your VA can take your ideas and write copy, gather assets, find links and more. Let them make the newsletters and you become the editor! No reason to let this task stress you out any longer.

Pro tip: Stop being the bottleneck in your own business! It is tempting to feel like you must do all the things, but when you find everything waiting on you to execute, it's time to delegate! Let your VA help your business get to a higher level of flow!

Speaking of flow, there will definitely be other things that you need to pass off to your VA when it comes to outreach- social media anyone? Whatever it is, just take it off your plate. Your VA will do everything you were doing, but faster and you can save your brain power for other things only you can do!
